Getting to the heart now, the implementation of the project “Talking Lands: talks between the lands of Apulia and Greece” in which the Municipality of Grottaglie is partner project with the Municipality of Monopoli (lead partner) and Fasano, Apulian Public Theatre as well; Greek partners are the Municipality of Parga, Ionian Islands Region, Western Greece Region. On Tuesday, April the 2nd  2013, at 17.00 h. at  Castello Episcopio in Grottaglie, at Sala Maioliche within Potteries Museum, a press conference will be held in order to introduce literary meetings, workshops and exhibitions planned within the project. On the whole, six literary meetings are scheduled, the first one occurred on March the 20th , 8 workshops, 3 exhibitions. These are the events arranged by the implementing stakeholder: Presidi del Libro (cultural association for the promotion of reading) of Grottaglie.

Historical, environmental, artistic, cultural links and features between Greece and Italy are the main  themesof the project activities.

Mr. Ciro Calabrese, Mayor of Grottaglie and the Councillor for Culture and Director of Potteries Museum Ms. Maria Pia Ettorre will start the press conference. The Councillor for Culture at the Municipality of  Monopoli, Ms. Rosanna Perricci, the Councillor for Tourism and Leisure at the Municipality of Fasano, Ms. Laura De Mola, Apulian Public Theatre’s director Mr. Sante Levante, the responsible representative for Presidi del Libro Association of Grottaglie, Mr.Piero Aresta will take part at the press conference as well. The other participants: the project Managers, Mr. Vincenzo Carrieri for the Municipality of Monopoli (Lead partner) and Mr. Domenico De Mola for the Municipality of Fasano; the responsible for International Cooperation Programmes Office at Apulian Public Theatre, Mr. Lino Manosperta and the Project Manager Assistant. Ms. Anna Maria Toma President of Presidio del Libro in Fasano.

After the press conference, at 18 h, the participants will take a walk to Potteries museum, walking around Quartiere delle Ceramiche, in order to reach Casa Vestita, the location arranged by Presidi del Libro of Grottaglie in which the second literary meeting “Potteries, gastronomy, design” will be carried out.

Special Guest: Mr.  Ciro Vestita, professor in Herbal- therapy and Food at S. Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa and expert consultant for many RAI TV programmes ("Uno Mattina", "Linea verde", "Domenica In", "Porta a Porta", "Tg 1", "Linea blu", "Cominciamo Bene"). Mr. Alessandro Santoro from USOPPOSTO Graphics & Product design will introduce  “La Puglia in un piatto – Gastrodesign” (Apulia region in a dish- gastrodesign), a book that on March the 6th  2012 awarded in Paris the second place at Gourmand International Cookbook Awards, yearly designated by a Committee made up of the most famous cookery experts.

Afterwards, participants will enjoy wine and local products tastings prepared by Chef Aldo D’amico according to the recipe book suggested by “La Puglia in un piatto”, bakery products prepared by Pregiata Forneria Lenti, wine tastings of Cantine San Marzano e Pruvas and Greek dishes prepared by the association “Dopolavoro Filoellenico" of Taranto.
