Fu edificata nel 1978 su progetto dell’architetto Mario Di Roma e conserva numerose opere d’arte di autori contemporanei. Tra le pitture, di rilevante importanza sono 4 pale dipinte da Onofrio Bramante, di origine monopolitana, che narrano la vita di Cristo, dalla Nascita alla Resurrezione.

Dello stesso autore , nel Battistero è collocato un quadro del Battesimo di Gesù. Dietro l’ altare centrale è collocato il mosaico del Sacro Cuore , della monopolitana Anna Brigida. Le due statue lignee custodite, entrambe di Fernand Stufferlesser di Ortisei, raffigurano una il cuore di Gesù e l’altra il cuore immacolato di Maria. Infine le coloratissime vetrate, realizzate dalle “vetrerie artistiche” di Firenze, contribuiscono a valorizzare la luminosità all’ interno.

 According to the project of the architect Mario Di Roma, the Church of Sacro Cuore was built in 1978.
On the inside, it preserves many works of arts made by contemporaneous artists.
Among these paintings, the most oustanding are the four altarpieces that represent Christ's life, from His Birth to the Resurrection, painted by Onofrio Bramante, an artist of Monopoli.

In the Baptistery, there is the painting "Baptism of Christ" of the same artist, Bramante; behind the main central altar, the mosaic work of the Sacred Heart, by the Monopoli artist Anna Brigida.
There are two wooden statues, by Fernard Stufferlesser from Ortisei. The first one that represents the Heart of Jesus and the other the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Moreover, the colourful stained glass windows, made in artistic Florence glasswares, brighten up the church.
